چکیده
Replacing natural raw materials with industrial by-products can increase the sustainability of Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC), although its fresh and hardened behavior will usually worsen. The benefits increased must therefore outweigh any reduction in concrete flowability strength. These aspects be analyzed through Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) algorithms. In all, 19 SCC mixes were studied. One reproduced commercial (limestone filler conventional cement), others produced more sustainable materials: 100% coarse Recycled Aggregate (RCA); 0%, 50% or fine RCA; 45% Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag (GGBS); aggregate powders such as limestone fines 0/0.5 mm RCA powder mm. Decreased at 15 60 min, compressive strength, modulus elasticity, carbon footprint, cost mix all Both footprint calculated considering only composition SCC, without including that depend on each particular case study, transport distances. constituted decision-making criteria MCDM analysis, under which 14 scenarios evaluated different requirements for using 3 algorithms (TOPSIS, AHP, PROMETHEE). results suggested ideal choice fast concreting is a combination GGBS, fines, if has to transported point, then cement should used. Strength stiffness maximized by limiting content 50%. Finally, versatile choice, RCA, GGBS 0% could compete SCC. Adapting design minimize detrimental effects essential promote also commercially competitive.

Fresh and Hardened Properties of Self Compacting Concrete Incorporating Different Binder Materials
Self compacting concrete (SCC) is an innovative development of conventional concrete, which requires high binder content to increase its segregation resistance. This paper presents a comparative study on the use of different materials as binder content in SCC and their effects on the workability and strength properties are checked. Different combinations of Fly ash, Metakaolin and Saw dust ash ...
متن کاملExperimental Study on Thermal Conductivity of Self-Compacting Concrete with Recycled Aggregate
The research focuses on the use of recycled aggregate (RA), from waste pieces generated during production in precast plants for self-compacting concrete (SCC) manufactured with a double sustainable goal: recycle manufacturing waste (consumption) and improvement of the thermal properties of the manufactured product (energy efficiency). For this purpose, a mechanical study to ensure technical fea...

Present paper investigated the strain and damage sensing property on concrete cubes embedded with carbon fibers. Concrete cubes of dimension 150 mm have been casted with different concentration of carbon fibers to study the strain and damage sensing property under cyclic loading that can be further used for health monitoring as non-destructive testing (NDT) approach. All the specimens were test...
